Rebecca Roxanne Quattrone's current hybrid mosaic works are influenced and inspired by her recent studies with the world-renowned Byzantine mosaic master, Luciana Notturni, in Ravenna, Italy. These sculptural art works are created by employing both traditional Byzantine and modern mosaic techniques and materials.
Quattrone states her works attempt to embody the many voices of my life — exposing the vulnerable, fragile, and delicate emotional facade we strive to possess.
Her current works have recently been exhibited in galleries and museums in New York City, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Quattrone has been a faculty member in the Music, Art, and Communication department at York College of Pennsylvania since January 2004. She earned her Master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and has earned mosaic certifications from Scuola Arte Del Mosaico, Ravenna, Italy. She currently resides in Southern York County with her daughters Ariel and Tess.
